Baro Ethiopian-Eritrean Cuisine cooks the traditional way at 810 Beverley St. Injera is the base of everything we serve — soft and tangy, made for scooping up doro wat, siga tibs, kitfo, shiro and misir wot. Meat lovers and vegetarians share the same platter here, so one order feeds the whole table.
The Baro Ethiopian-Eritrean Cuisine family
The injera is soft and fresh, and the doro wat has that deep, slow-cooked berbere flavour you hope for. Easily some of the best Ethiopian food in Winnipeg.
We shared the combination platter with siga tibs and kitfo. One platter fed the whole table and there was still plenty to take home.
Ordered takeout late on a Friday and it was ready fast and still hot when we got home. The shiro and misir wot travel really well.

Injera is the soft, slightly tangy flatbread at the centre of Ethiopian and Eritrean dining. It works as both the plate and the utensil, so stews and grilled meats are spooned onto the injera and shared from one platter. Let our staff know about any allergies and we’ll guide you through the platter.
Order Ethiopian food online for pickup or delivery in Winnipeg, or come share a platter with us — the injera is already fresh.
